
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. When she began her acting career as a stage actor at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, Bell made her Broadway stage debut in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. She also appeared in the Broadway revival of The Crucible the year after. After appearing in the action thriller Spartan (2004) in 2004, she received praise for her performance in Gracie's Choice (2004). In 2004, she made her stage debut on Broadway as Becky Thatcher in the comedy musical The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer. After that, she was cast in the television show for teenagers, Veronica Mars (2004). Her performance earned her critical acclaim and a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on television. The 2014 movie she reprised her character in the role of the main character and in the renewal of the show in 2019, she was the main character. Bell was on screen from 2007 to 2008 as Elle Bishop in Heroes, an action-packed superhero series. Bell was the voice of the narrator in the title role on the show for teens called Gossip Girl. She will reprise the role for the sequel, which will premiere in 2021. Bell was also Showtime comedy House of Lies' lead actress, Jeannie van de Hooven. Bell starred as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This performance has earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe Award. Bell was also the lead character of the streaming series The Woman in the house Across the street from the Girl in the Window.
